Tea in the Library #52

There is nothing like staying home for real comfort -  Austen.

Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the

touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home. - Edith Sitwell

Dressed in cinnamon sugar, and pie crust with a scoop of homemade vanilla bean ice cream the last humble apples are transformed like a plain girl ready for the ball...

I have Jane for tea time company.
Join us for a walk around the lush grounds of Pemberley?

Shall we whisper together watching Jane and Bingley fall in love?

The  version of Pride and Prejudice starring Colin Firth & Jennifer Ehle is my favorite  movie version. It is well done and most closely fits my 'inner vision' of the characters.
Wish you could spend more time with the Darcys? Me too!

I recently watched 'Death Comes to Pemberley', a BBC production, on Netflix and enjoyed it tremendously.  Jenna Coleman's Lydia Wickham is brilliant. She brings a fleeting self awareness, and vulnerability to the character that makes this older Lydia more likeable.

You may know Jenna as Clara, a Doctor Who companion. Although she hasn't been my favorite companion, watching her performance as Lydia Wickham has given me a great respect for her chops as an actress.

Well. I have had a lot to say today!

 Have a Blessed Week.
Susan
