Tea in the Library #21

 Late lies the wintry sun a-bed,
A frosty, fiery sleepy-head;
Blinks but an hour or two; and then,
A blood-red orange, sets again.
- Robert Louis Stevenson

 Oh!  Cold, cold Winter  when  the snap of a branch sounds like gun shot and the sky is an unfurled bolt of grey velvet.

 A village of chocolate cakes dusted with powdered sugar ...

 We are house bound; working from home because of the subzero temperatures. Each snug in our own office we meet up for tea in the dining room.

An ironstone teapot, cream and sugar...

Spode tea cups...

And daydreams of winter magic.

    I enjoyed the poetry and prose. It is very cold here today, unusual for us. Your tea time looks set up for comfort. Perfect for a cold cold winter!
