Tea in the Library # 22

Picture from Web

Winter uses all the blues there are.
One shade of blue for water, one for ice,
Another blue for shadows over snow.

The clear or cloudy sky uses blue twice

Do you ever have the post - holiday blues?

I am feeling like a blue meanie because I had been looking forward to a quiet January with time to enjoy my home and holiday decorations but Life has turned my plans upside down and now I am trying to smile, bite my lip, and hold my tongue all at the same time.

Set a guard over my mouth, LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips. - Psalm 141:3
In another week life will settle back down (hopefully). So for now I will ...

  1. I've always loved January, too, and I hope yours gets better for you. It sounds like it will, with the Lord's help. Your Shelley teacup certainly must help take you out of the blues!! xo

  2. I always feel blue in January, but that delicate teacup, whose shape is so nice, brought a smile to my face.

  5. Dainty Blue - the 'best' china of my childhood, as it was my mother's wedding china. I have a cup and saucer and treasure them.
I hope your January becomes easier!

  7. I have pre-holiday blues and Christmas Day blues! Ugh! I think it will get better as the years progress. I so understand what you mean about having time to enjoy your home and decorations. I think that's why I love the time after Christmas almost more than before. I hope things have straightened out now, and you get that time you need.
